Futures Weekly:Gold Longs Stay Concentrated—Can Oil’s Advance Hold Without Inventory Support?

As of the close on August 28, 2026, this report examines the interaction among interest-rate expectations, the U.S. dollar, inventory data, fund flows, and speculative positioning across gold, silver, crude oil, copper, and aluminum. Market Overview U.S. July PCE inflation rose 3.7% year over year, while core PCE inflation increased 3.3%; both remained above the Federal Reserve’s 2% target. At the Jackson Hole meeting, Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh stated explicitly that “if inflation does not decline meaningfully, further rate hikes may be necessary,” significantly increasing market expectations for a September rate hike. Against this backdrop, the commodity market featured precious metals consolidating at elevated levels before pulling back, crude oil retreating as its geopolitical p

Look Back, Trade Forward: The August Post Mortem & Your Survival Guide for September

🌟🌟🌟Let's take a deep breath and wipe the sweat from our foreheads.  We have officially survived August 2026.  It was a month that felt less like a civilised financial period and more like a high stakes psychological thriller directed by a manic depressive algorithm. From Jackson Hole twists to geopolitical energy wars, the market spent the last 31 days throwing tantrums.  As we step into September, historically the most brutal calendar month for the stock market, it is time to review our August battlefield wounds and engineer a bulletproof playbook using specialised ETFs to build a resilient portfolio. The August Trading Review: What Happened? August was the month where Wall Street decided to completely tear up the old playbook and rewrite the rules of gravity. The Kevin War

$Herbalife(HLF)$ $Herbalife (HLF) Rebounds +4.82% to $11.52: Oversold Nutrition Play Holds Support, Multi-Week Reversal Watch at $13.28 Latest Close: $11.52 (+4.82%) on Sep 2, bouncing off the $10.96 low to close near session highs. Still well below the 52-week high of $20.40 and recent resistance at $13.28. Core Drivers: HLF's sharp move follows a week of heavy net outflows (-$67.48M on Aug 31) and short activity, suggesting a short-covering rally from deeply oversold conditions. 🌟🌟🌟I believe the fundamental take away on $Broadcom(AVGO)$ latest earnings report is C: The decline in gross margin is more a cause for concern. When Broadcom rolled out its numbers, CEO Hock Tan tried to soothe the market by highlighting an unyielding mountain of cash & reinforcing Broadcom's massive long term AI pipeline. Even though Broadcom scales up its custom AI accelerators, the lower numbers on those specific system sales are chewing into corporate profitability. In modern AI trade, investors don't want just to see explosive sales growth.  They demand pristine great margins.  When those margins disappoint, shares were sold off. However for long term investors, this pullback presents a great buying opportunity.  Broadco

Surge US Bond Yields Crushing Tech Stocks ?

Interest rates on government bonds are rising again, making borrowings more expensive for consumers and businesses. It also heightens concerns about whether governments are issuing more debt than financial markets can handle? Rising bond yields are one of the few forces in the world strong enough to get politicians to snap to attention. They can also have a big impact on US citizens’ personal finances and on the broader US economy. The bond market can dictate (a) how much ordinary people have to pay on their mortgages and car loans, as well as (b) how much consumers earn from their savings accounts and 401(k) plans (that is equivalent to Singapore's CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS). Gradual bubble up of Treasury yields. With fig
