Ten U.S. stocks with market caps above $10 billion hit fresh all-time highs as of September 11, 2026. The top 10 span integrated oil majors, independent refiners, AI-era cybersecurity, connectivity-cloud infrastructure, South Korean banking, and global freight logistics. The spread reflects a crude and refined-product supercycle (Brent back above $100/bbl, refining margins at multi-year highs driving triple-digit refiner gains), an "agentic AI" security land-grab lifting cybersecurity and cloud-connectivity names on accelerating ARR, strong capital returns and M&A at the energy majors, a fee-income boom in Korean financials, and Middle East-driven air-freight capacity constraints boosting logistics margins.
The top 10 tickers leading this cohort - $Chevron(CVX)$, $SHELL PLC SPON ADS EACH REPR 2 ORD SHS(SHEL)$, $CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$, $ConocoPhillips(COP)$, $Cloudflare, Inc.(NET)$, $Marathon Petroleum(MPC)$, $Valero(VLO)$, $Equinor ASA(EQNR)$, $KB Financial Group Inc(KB)$, $Expeditors(EXPD)$
🧭 Key Market Drivers
-
Energy megacap breakout on tight refining and crude markets: $Chevron(CVX)$, $SHELL PLC SPON ADS EACH REPR 2 ORD SHS(SHEL)$, $ConocoPhillips(COP)$, and $Equinor ASA(EQNR)$ are all within roughly 1–3% of fresh highs as Brent has pushed back above $100/bbl on Middle East supply disruption. Refiners $Marathon Petroleum(MPC)$ and $Valero(VLO)$ are the standout outperformers of the list, both up over 130% YTD, as crack spreads have blown out to multi-year highs.
-
AI infrastructure spend is pulling security and edge-network names to records: $CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$ and $Cloudflare, Inc.(NET)$ are riding the "agentic AI" security narrative — CrowdStrike's Falcon 2026 showcase and Cloudflare's OpenAI-powered security launch have driven a wave of double-digit price-target hikes in the past two weeks alone.
-
Analyst upgrades are chasing the tape, not leading it: Across nearly every name in this list — $Marathon Petroleum(MPC)$, $Valero(VLO)$, $ConocoPhillips(COP)$, $Chevron(CVX)$ — price targets have been revised sharply higher just in the first two weeks of September, often by 20–70%, as sell-side models catch up to a rally that has outpaced consensus estimates for months.
-
Logistics and Korean financials round out a broad-based rally: $Expeditors(EXPD)$'s breakout reflects AI-driven air-freight demand and Middle East routing disruptions lifting rates, while $KB Financial Group Inc(KB)$'s record H1 2026 profit underscores how South Korea's banking sector has ridden a capital-markets fee boom to new highs alongside the energy complex.

Agentic AI requires two critical elements: ultra-low latency edge infrastructure ($Cloudflare, Inc.(NET)$) and end-to-end security orchestration ($CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$). While energy majors (CVX, SHELL) and refiners (MPC) offer solid short-term cash flows, their momentum relies heavily on commodity price cycles. Cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure provide a far longer runway for structural compounding.
If I had to pick one for my watchlist, it would be $CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$ due to its expanding Falcon platform, high net-retention rates, and critical role in securing real-time AI workloads, though both names offer significantly higher long-term growth potential than chasing late-stage energy highs.

Energy stocks may benefit from the current cycle, but $NET gives me exposure to a longer-term technology trend.
I like the combination of AI infrastructure, cybersecurity and cloud connectivity. As AI adoption grows, the need for faster, more secure networks should grow with it. Cloudflare also has exposure to the longer-term AI infrastructure trend rather than relying mainly on the current energy cycle.
For me, $NET offers the most compelling long-term growth potential from this list.
I am also watching $Marathon Petroleum(MPC)$ and $Valero(VLO)$ because elevated refining margins could support strong earnings. However, after such huge YTD gains, I would be careful about entering at fresh highs. I prefer waiting for a pullback and better risk-reward.
If I had to pick one, I would choose CRWD for its AI-driven cybersecurity growth. New highs do not automatically mean overvaluation, but I would still wait for a better entry rather than FOMO into the breakout.

Cybersecurity and connectivity infrastructure look more structural to me. As AI agents become increasingly autonomous, every new agent creates another identity, access, data and attack-surface problem. That makes security spending less discretionary. is especially interesting because ARR growth and free cash flow are already proving that the AI-security story is translating into real economics.
offers a different angle: edge networking, security and developer infrastructure could become increasingly important as AI workloads move closer to users.
