SMH Price found support at the lower Bollinger Band and the volume shelf

$VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ Price found support at the lower Bollinger Band and the volume shelf (green arrow). While Friday's price action suggests a potential bounce, a sustained recovery is not assured due to a significant development: the 40-week moving average (purple line) has been decisively breached. This breach has historically preceded substantial pullbacks, as seen in 2015, 2018, 2020, and 2022. Only in August 2024 was there a momentary breach at the weekly opening, following three weeks of selling. Currently, SMH's technical position is more aligned with the aforementioned years, as it is not exhibiting oversold conditions.$236.8 will make the difference next week between bullish continuation or a resume of the decline. The black arr

TOPTony Boon: Go go go ST Engineering. It should be bullish towards Nomura's target price of 6.10 in view of its positive sentiment now. Increasing the dividend to 5c is a significant step by the company to bring itself to another whole new level. This will strengthen the dividend yield % as the share price increases progressively. Hope that company will increase the dividend further moving forward as well. This will retain more investors in a way. Cheers ST Engineering. Thank You for the great sharing of info. [Smile] [Shy]

Lululemon: Downward Dog or Upward Trend? A Stretch Worth Taking?

Sweating the Small Stuff: Five Key Insights and a Moat Built on More Than Just Yoga Mats Right then, let’s have a proper look at Lululemon. The stock has taken a bit of a tumble, dropping over 25%, which has understandably got some investors in a twist. But let’s not mistake a temporary wobble for a downward spiral. Sometimes, a dip is just the market’s way of handing out a discount. Lululemon is far more than just high-end leggings. It has cultivated a brand that resonates deeply with its customers—think lifestyle rather than mere apparel. The company’s global expansion is in full swing, with China standing out as a key growth driver, delivering a staggering 39% year-over-year revenue increase. This isn’t just a one-off surge but a consistent upward trajectory. At the same time, financial

I Am Kancheong Spiders: The Art of Panic Trading

My Tiger Brokers username is spiders. And just like a spider scuttling across the floor when someone turns on the lights, I trade stocks with pure kancheong energy. When I buy a stock and see the price dip, my survival instincts kick in. I panic. I quickly set a limit sell price—just a teeny, tiny bit above breakeven—because profit is profit, right? This has happened many, many times. Some recent kancheong trades: Bought APA at $20.82, sold at $20.97 Bought CRI at $51.16, sold at $51.46 Bought AES at $10.08, sold at $10.14 Big wins? Seldom. Case in point: I bought SOXS at $17.87 and sold at $17.98. Felt smart for taking a quick profit. Then I checked later—SOXS had shot up to $22.86. I could’ve made way more… if only my kancheong spider brain didn't freak out. Direxion Daily Semiconductors

Earnings Season: How Long Will the Valuation Compression Last?

This earnings season, post-earnings stock rallies have become increasingly rare. While some growth stocks initially surged on the day of their earnings reports, many experienced consecutive declines afterward. Others saw sharp drops even after slightly missing estimates. This trend highlights a broader reality: many companies were already overvalued, and the market is undergoing widespread valuation compression across various asset classes. Despite some pullbacks, the S&P 500 remains quite high, suggesting that many stocks—especially in the tech sector—are still trading at elevated valuations. The divergence between stock prices and fundamentals remains a major concern. The enthusiasm around AI, cloud computing, and other tech trends has inflated valuations, and when expectations are t

OCBC Earnings Miss: Will DBS or UOB Continue to Outperform?

Singapore’s second-largest bank, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC), has reported a smaller-than-expected rise in fourth-quarter profit, citing expectations of moderated loan growth in 2025. Alongside this, OCBC unveiled a S$2.5 billion capital return, but it remained the only Singapore bank to miss analysts' forecasts in what was otherwise a strong earnings season for local banks. In contrast, DBS Group Holdings (DBS) and United Overseas Bank (UOB) exceeded expectations, delivering multi-billion capital return packages. Their strong financial performance propelled their share prices to record highs, reinforcing their positions as dominant players in Singapore’s banking sector. Should Investors Buy Singapore Bank Stocks Now? Personally, I won’t be buying Singapore bank stocks at cu

A grim end to February, will volatility increase in March?

The last trading day of February has ended. $S&P 500(.SPX)$ closed at 5954.5 yesterday, down 1.24% for the month; $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ closed at 18847.28, down 3.97% for the month; and $DJIA(.DJI)$ closed at 43840.91, down 1.58%.The Fear and Greed Index indicates that the market has reached extreme fear.A grim end to February, will volatility increase in March?Historical data from global stock markets shows a noticeable seasonal pattern, where market performance tends to be better from November to April, and worse from May to October. A grim end to February, will volatility increase in March?
TOPBarcode: $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ $Broadcom(AVGO)$ $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Alphabet(GOOG)$ 🚀📉⚡ March Madness or Market Mayhem? Buckle Up for the Ride! ⚡📉🚀 February slinked off like a chastened gambler, leaving the markets to lick their wounds. The S&P 500 slumped to 5954.5, down a modest 1.24%, while the NASDAQ took a meatier hit at 18847.28, off 3.97%. The DJIA, ever the stoic, settled at 43840.91, shedding 1.58%. Meanwhile, the Fear & Greed Index is blaring “Extreme Fear”, a klaxon so loud it’s practically begging contrarians to RSVP. But as we flip the calendar to March, the real question looms, Are we in for a genteel dip or a full on fiscal fracas? March is the market’s enfant terrible. Over the past 23 years, it’s clocked negative returns a whopping 56% of the time, the highest batting average for misery of any month. Why the perennial pout? Consider the culprits; 📌 Institutional Window Dressing, Big players shuffle their portfolios, ditching riskier assets to primp their balance sheets for fiscal year end glamour shots. 📌 Taxman Cometh, March 15 marks a corporate tax deadline in the U.S., often sparking sell offs as firms scrape together cash. Uncle Sam doesn’t take IOUs. 📌 Global Ripples, While America’s fiscal year ends in September, markets like India’s wrap up in March, tossing extra chaos into the global mix. Yet, don’t let the grim stats fool you, March isn’t a one note dirge. The S&P 500 often stumbles out of the gate only to pirouette into a mid month rebound. It’s less a bloodbath, more a bipolar ballet. Chaos? Sure. Opportunity? You bet. On that note, I pounced on February’s swoon to scoop up NVDA. Why? Its AI and data centre dominance isn’t a roll of the dice, it’s a calculated strut into the future. While the market frets over volatility, NVIDIA’s fundamentals stand like a fortress. I’m betting its chips, pun intended, will power us through any March madness. Did I mention I snagged it on the dip? Call it my contrarian victory lap. So, what’s the March forecast, tempest or triumph? Volatility’s a lock, but the tea leaves hint at a sneaky rally if you squint. The Fear & Greed Index might scream panic, but panic’s often the prelude to profit. Still, a dollop of caution won’t hurt, March has a knack for keeping us guessing. 🚨 Volatility Spike or Overblown Hype? Are we staring down a tempest in a teapot? 🚀 Rebound or Retreat? Will mid month magic save the day, or should we brace for more bruises? 💰 Your Move, Maverick, Did you buy February’s dip? What’s your March playbook? Now, your turn, Tigers. Did you scoop up a bargain in February’s swoon, or are you holding your chips? What’s your March game plan, bracing for a storm or betting on a stealth rally? Bonus question, Is March’s mayhem overhyped, or are we staring down a tempest in a teapot? Drop your sharpest takes below, best one might just snag some Tiger Coins! 📢 Please Like, Repost, and Follow, Craving sharp setups, trendspotting, and strategies that slap? Stick with me, I’m all about decoding the madness and stacking the odds. Let’s trade smarter, not harder, and maybe, just maybe, turn March’s mayhem into our own little masterpiece. Here’s to riding the chaos, Tigers. May your trades be sharp and your profits plentiful. Cheers, BC 📈🚀🍀
